Disability:IN Chicagoland Hosts Online Conversations on Accessibility & Mental Health in the Workplace
In May, Disability:IN Chicagoland programs shared information and resources on accessibility and workplace mental health.
First, on May 13th in partnership with Northern Trust, Disability:IN Chicagoland hosted a conversation for Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) featuring Colleen Wunderlich, Chief Strategic Partnerships Officer at Hadley, on Understanding Online & Remote Work Accessibility Considerations, with a focus on individuals with visual impairments. In conversation with Ron Mallicoat, Executive Vice President and Group Managing Director at Northern Trust, Colleen shared best practices in combination with her personal experiences to illustrate opportunities to ensure accessibility for individuals with visual impairments in both the workplace and marketplace.
Then on Thursday, May 20th, Disability:IN Chicagoland partnered with Disability:IN Wisconsin for its session on Mental Health – Resilience and Building a Culture of Wellbeing and Compassion. Recordings of these sessions are available to Disability:IN Chicagoland members on our website here: http://www.di-chi.org/videos/.
